The Blades goalkeeper tested positive for the stimulant ephedrine - a substance banned by the World Anti-Doping Agency - after their play-off semi-final second-leg clash at Bramall Lane which North End lost 1-0 to Sheffield United. That has raised the prospect of Preston seeking financial compensation, although Shaw told the Lancashire Evening Post: "We can't say this affected the play-off result, I don't think we could get anywhere with that and wouldn't try. "I'm not jumping up and down claiming we want the semi-final and final replayed. And I don't expect it to turn into a Carlos Tevez affair either. "What I know is that the Football League is extremely well run and tends to handle difficult issues very well. We'll speak to the League and listen to what advice they give us."
