The Welshman, 29, who joined North End this summer from Cardiff in a £250,000 deal, scored in Tuesday night's 3-0 win against Barnsley and feels Deepdale is the place to be.

"When I came to Preston I needed a fresh start, I needed to start enjoying my football again which I think I have done so far," he told the Lancashire Evening Post.

Parry feels he has a lot to offer the Lancashire club, and added: "I aim to score more goals than I did last season, aim to have a better season than I did last season personally, and hopefully Preston will go one better than they did last year."
