Parry back in action

Preston winger Paul Parry was delighted to have got 45 minutes under his belt in Tuesday's 6-1 pre-season romp at neighbours Bamber Bridge. The former Cardiff player had not played since last December after tendonitis in his knee reduced him to the sidelines for the second half of last season. The Wales international, 29, is currently working his way back towards full fitness ahead of the new season. He told the club's official website: "It's been a long time coming. "It's been over seven months since I last played a game, so it`s nice to get out on the field again. "It's still early doors in pre-season and this was only our first game, but it is a great confidence booster scoring six goals."
