North End wait on Chaplow

Preston boss Darren Ferguson will assess the fitness of midfielder Richard Chaplow when his side travel to Swansea. Chaplow picked up a knock and was substituted after just 29 minutes of Tuesday's thumping 4-1 home defeat against Barnsley. However, Ferguson has new signing Paul Coutts available for the trip to Wales and may be tempted to thrust him straight into the starting line-up. The 21-year-old did not sign in time to be registered for Tuesday's clash, but looks almost certain to feature against the Swans. Winger Keith Treacy made his debut off the bench against Barnsley and is pushing for a starting role on the right flank. Callum Davidson is hoping to shake off a head injury to play but winger Paul Parry (knee) midfielder Barry Nicholson (broken leg) remain sidelined.
