North End net marketing award

North End won the Perform Best Fan Marketing Campaign award at the 2009 Football League Awards on Sunday. Preston's 'Lilywhites Go Green' campaign was created to help promote the club's new revamped services to fans with the primary focus being environmentally friendly. And Pomfret told the club's official website: "This is a real reward for the efforts of everyone at the club, our fans and all our partners on this campaign. "At the start of the season we tried to come up with something different and, in looking at the environmental issues surrounding the club and the area, awe went down a route that not many football clubs have done. "It worked very well and the response from the fans has been brilliant."
