North End injuries ease

Preston boss Darren Ferguson's injury concerns have begun to ease ahead of the crunch trip to derby rivals Burnley. Defender Craig Morgan sustained a toe injury but was still able to play the last 15 minutes of Wales' 1-0 defeat in Montenegro on Friday. He looks certain to be available to face the Clarets along with winger Keith Treacy, who has been nursing a groin strain. The former Blackburn trainee pulled out of the Republic of Ireland squad ahead of the international break after picking up the injury in the recent defeat at Sheffield United. Treacy is hoping to be fit and centre-back Wayne Brown, a summer signing from Leicester who has yet to make his competitive debut, is also set to come into contention. Midfielder Barry Nicholson remains a long-term absentee but Ferguson has no other major worries.
