Irvine is keen to increase the numbers in his Deepdale squad and has been tipped to try to bring in a player on loan this week.[LNB]Though Shaw is not guaranteeing any imminent additions to Irvine's ranks, he outlined his intention to do all he can to help the Preston boss.[LNB]Shaw told the Lancashire Evening Post: "It is no different whether it is January or July, I back Alan 52 weeks of the year.[LNB]"I will always back the manager in any way I can.[LNB]"I'm not going to sit here now in the middle of November and say we are going to make new signings, but I'll be doing everything in my power to help him.[LNB]"We have a fantastic manager, a marvellous stadium to be proud of and good players, and are three points off the play-off pack. That's a healthier position than we were in last year when we reached the play-offs.[LNB]"Ask the chairmen of Southampton, Norwich or Leeds United. And I'm sure they'd be happy to swap places with us."[LNB][LNB]
