North End boss happy with strikers

Goals have dried up for North End of late, with Irvine's men finding the net just five times in the last seven games.[LNB]However the former Everton coach is happy to continue backing the ability of Deepdale strikers Neil Mellor, Jon Parkin and Chris Brown.[LNB]"It's not very long ago that people were talking about how many goals the strikers were scoring," Irvine told the Lancashire Evening Post.[LNB]"You just have to look at the best strikers in the world. They all go through spells when they don't score.[LNB]"I could make a huge issue out of it or we could continue trying to find the form we had earlier in the season when everyone was scoring."[LNB][LNB]
