Eddie Nolan has gone on loan to Scunthorpe until January but he is set to be sold permanently for £100,000. Nolan was initially thought to be heading to Sheffield Wednesday to team up with former boss Alan Irvine and it was somewhat of a surprise when he joined Scunthorpe on loan. Irvine told the Sheffield press that he wanted to take Nolan on but the price tag of £100,000 was said to be the reason why a deal wasn't struck. Scunthorpe now have the option after the loan deal to complete a permanent deal for Nolan at a fee of £100,000.
