Nicholson vows to help Preston bounce back
Midfielder Barry Nicholson has vowed he will not abandon Preston following their relegation from the npower Championship.
North End are coming to terms with facing a season in the third tier after suffering their first relegation in 18 years.
Key players such as Andy Lonergan and Sean St Ledger are set to leave but Nicholson wants to help the club bounce back.
The 32-year-old said: "I have made it clear that I definitely want to be here next season and I owe it to the club to stay here and help them.
"Winning the division has to be the target because we feel we were good enough to stay in the Championship."
