The young winger was injured in pre-season and therefore missed the start of the campaign. He has regained fitness but not yet forced himself into the side after Humphrey impressed in the early games.
Monakana will join Colchester until 12 October 2013 where it is hoped he will get a run of much needed games which will be beneficial for all parties concerned.
