Mixed emotions for Brown

Preston manager Phil Brown was pleased to secure a point at Norwich but was left concerned by his side's injury problems.

After Grant Holt's 16th goal of the season had equalised Chris Brown's opener for North End, the Canaries had a great chance to secure victory but Wes Hoolahan's chipped penalty, which drew claims of disrespect from Brown, was easily saved by Lilywhites goalkeeper Iain Turner.

North End played out the closing stages with 10 men after David Gray suffered a knock when Brown had already used his three substitutes - two of those because of earlier injuries.

Brown said: "We got a good point but it has been a bad day for us in terms of injuries.

"We lost Andy Lonergan with a flu bug leading up to the game and then in the warm-up Nathan Ellington has turned his ankle. "

We then lost three more players during the game (Barry Nicholson, Leon Cort and Gray) so it has been a tough day. We have had a lot of bad luck recently so hopefully we are due some good luck soon."
