McLaughlin steeled for starting role
Preston rookie Conor McLaughlin would relish another opportunity to showcase his potential if he is selected for Saturday's trip to QPR.
The Northern Ireland U-21 defender made his senior debut for North End in Friday's 2-0 home defeat against Hull after replacing the injured Callum Davidson.
With Sean St Ledger also picking up an injury against the Tigers, McLaughlin could be handed a starting role for the daunting trip to Loftus Road.
He told the club's official website: "I had a few messages through after the game from my dad, younger brother and my mates so I'm just chuffed.
"If another chance does come along then I will take it, first of all though, I hope that all of the lads come through that were injured so they can help out the team to get out of this."
