McKenna keen to avoid play-off woe

North End have not tasted top-flight football since 1961 but they have been hovering around the top six for the majority of the campaign. However, they have won only one of their last five outings to put a major dent in their promotion hopes. Long-serving playmaker McKenna said: "It would be a bitter disappointment not to finish in the play-offs, having been up there all year. "The play-offs are what we are striving to achieve and the reward of that is phenomenal."
