Lonergan targets upturn in form

Preston goalkeeper Andrew Lonergan is hoping that his side can end their miserable start to the season with victory at home to Portsmouth on Saturday. North End have lost their opening two npower Championship games with a 2-0 home defeat against Doncaster followed by a 4-0 thumping at Swansea last weekend. But Lonergan told the Evening Post: "Hopefully we can start putting things right. "It won't be easy against Portsmouth because although they've only got a small squad, a lot of those players were in the Premier League last season. "The start to our season hasn't been an easy one so we need to get back to winning ways."
