Preston goalkeeper Andy Lonergan believes a run of away games could give his side the opportunity to play with more freedom. Five of North End's last six matches matches have been at Deepdale but this weekend's trip to Middlesbrough is the first of three road trips, with matches at Scunthorpe and Barnsley to follow. Phil Brown's rock-bottom side return home to face Bristol City on February 5, then are back on the road at Hull and Watford. Lonergan said: "The gaffer has talked about the away games, and being away might give us a bit more freedom to play. "It has been difficult playing at Deepdale for certain people with the situation we are in. "But I have to say that the crowd was tremendous for the Leicester game [last weekend]."
