27 August 2010 13:33
The national press are reporting that Leicester and Nottingham Forest are in a fight to take Sean St Ledger away from Deepdale. A St Ledger move has always been on the cards for over a year now as one of Preston's most saleable assets. Originally he was set to sign for Middlesborough and then when thta fell through Celtic showed an interest but no firm offer was received. Preston have a valuation over St Ledger but it is believed he will be allowed to leave the club for around £2 million which will reduce the wage bill significantly as well as putting some money in the coffers.
