Late point delights Brown

Preston boss Phil Brown was elated with the late show that earned his side a 2-2 draw at Nottingham Forest despite the fact his side remain without a win in 12 games. Barry Nicholson gave Preston a 16th minute lead before Paul Konchesky equalised for Forest. Billy Davies' side then looked to have snatched the win after Chris Cohen struck in the second minute of injury-time but Billy Jones popped up in the sixth minute of added time to nod home a late late leveller for North End. Brown, whose team are still bottom of the npower Championship, said: "It feels like a win and three points but unfortunately it wasn't. "Not many teams have come to the City Ground this season, conceded what looked like a winning goal in injury-time and had the commitment and spirit to come back and get a draw. "Forest are on the march and it's far from easy coming here but I thought we threw a real spanner in the works tonight. It might have been easier for us if we had got the two blatant penalties we should have had for handball and then a push on Barry Nicholson. "The commitment and spirit were magnificent and if we can continue with that over the last 14 (games) and show the organisation we showed throughout the game we will stay in the Championship. That's our holy grail but hope springs eternal and we are not going to lie down for anybody."
