King poser for Fergie

Preston manager Darren Ferguson will decide whether to extend Josh King's loan in the next few days. The young striker is currently occupying the sidelines with an ankle injury and isn't expected back for at least another three weeks. Ferguson has only two fit strikers in Jon Parkin and Iain Hume available and will have to decide whether to increase King's loan from Manchester United or explore other striking options in the loan market. "At the moment we're thinking another two or three weeks out for Josh," he told the Lancashire Evening Post. "That takes him past the end of his loan, so I have to decide what to do when that time comes. We'll have to see how the injury is, what progress the boy makes, and take it from there. "He's had a scan on the ankle and we should know more next week. What I've got to take into consideration is that this is the second time Josh has injured his ankle and also whether I go for someone a bit more experienced. Bringing in another loan is something I might have to give consideration to."
