Jones ready for massive month

Preston midfielder Billy Jones insists the next month is going to be "massive" in their quest for survival. North End currently sit rock bottom of the Championship table six points from safety but have shown some improvement since new manager Phil Brown took over in early January securing two creditable draws in their league games. Despite these morale-boosting results Jones says the Lilywhites must begin converting these points into wins as they go into a relegation six-pointer at Scunthorpe on Saturday before moving into February which sees the Lilywhites play seven crucial games. He told the Lancashire Evening Post: "We've had two draws - now we've got to start turning them into three points. "If we can go to Scunthorpe and get something there, we'd be three games unbeaten going into February. "Next month it's Saturday-Tuesday pretty much all the way through, so we need to take some momentum into it. February is going to be a massive month, it really is."
