Preston skipper Callum Davidson is backing on-loan Manchester United midfielder Matty James to make a major impact at Deepdale again this season.
James captained England Under-19s in the European Championships recently and will spend the coming season on loan with North End after a successful spell last term.
And Davidson has backed James to prosper again as Darren Ferguson's men look to challenge for promotion to the top flight.
"Matty has been out playing for the England Under-19 side and has done well," said Davidson.
"He is a fantastic talent with a great attitude. He has come from Manchester United last year and fitted in really well.
"I was glad to hear he was coming back."
