Irvine welcomes selection headache
North End recorded a thumping 3-0 win at Barnsley on Tuesday and Irvine made several changes for the Oakwell showdown.
He now has a number of decisions to make for the visit of Darren Ferguson's promoted side.
Irvine said: "It's a good position to be in and it gives us competition for places.
"I've been saying for a few weeks now I have a squad of 21 players who can go in there and do a good job.
"The players have given me a lovely problem."
