After Eddie Nolan returned from international duty early with the Republic of Ireland with a swollen foot the promotion hopefuls are in dire straits.[LNB]Irvine hopes that the full-back will be fit for the game against Norwich at the weekend, but brought in Stoke defender Andrew Davies on loan just in case.[LNB]"Things are that tight, we can't afford any more injuries because we are vulnerable at the back." Irvine told the Lancashire Evening Post.[LNB]Irvine also revealed how the bad weather has affect his preparations, saying: "There are some clubs who have the luxury of an indoor pitch to work on.[LNB]"We don't have that facility so we just ended up doing a weights circuit in the gym on Monday. We wouldn't have planned that in normal circumstances, but at least we got something done."[LNB][LNB]
