With the encounter at St Andrew's scheduled for a 5.20pm kick-off, North End's hopes of a play-off place could already be dashed by the time they take to the pitch.[LNB]Birmingham will be chasing automatic promotion regardless of results in the 3pm games, and Irvine is hoping his side will still have something to fight for as well.[LNB]He told Preston's official website: "Obviously there will be something for Birmingham to play for and I hope that there is more than just pride and points for us to play for, I hope there is still a chance for us to get into the play-offs.[LNB]"We've got two very tough games and whatever happens I want us to win those two games. We'll be going about our work as we normally do and trying to make sure that we are fully prepared and able to give a good account of ourselves.[LNB]"We know that it is a very difficult game for us but we have got a good record against a lot of the top teams and hopefully we will be able to keep that record going."[LNB][LNB]
