Irvine: Bluebirds will be tough task
North End have failed to win any of their last five matches but their last two performances have provided reasons for optimism.[LNB]Irvine's men were unfortunate to lose 1-0 at home to leaders Newcastle in their last home outing and showed resilience to grind out a point at derby rivals Blackpool on Monday.[LNB]Looking ahead to the Cardiff clash, Irvine said: "We know that it will be a very difficult game, there is absolutely no question about that.[LNB]"But I think we played well against Newcastle and played well again against Blackpool to deserve something out of the game.[LNB]"We should have got something out of the Newcastle game and we now need to take the same kind of level of performance in the game against Cardiff."[LNB][LNB]
