Scunthorpe United manager Nigel Adkins says they could cash in on 17-goal striker Gary Hooper this summer. He told BBC Look North: "Billy Sharp and Martin Paterson moved on for big money and Gary Hooper is the next logical one.

"We are trying to be a developmental club where we allow players to come in, develop and move on to bigger and better things for a decent fee."

Hooper, 22, has a year left on his deal and says no clubs have approached him.

The former Grays Athletic man joined the Iron from Southend in 2008 for an initial fee of £125,000, rising to £175,000.

Hooper has scored 47 goals in 92 appearances for Scunthorpe.
