Iron let Lillis stay at Rochdale

Scunthorpe have agreed in principle to allow Rochdale to extend the loan of goalkeeper Josh Lillis beyond January.The 23-year-old has been at the League One club since the start of the season. [LNB]Iron boss Ian Baraclough told BBC Radio Humberside he is happy to allow Lillis to stay at Spotland but wants to be able to recall him if necessary. [LNB]"I'll speak to Keith [Hill, Rochdale boss], but I've already intimated it wouldn't be for six months. It would be a risk otherwise if we lose a keeper." [LNB]The Derby-born stopper has made 23 appearances this season, keeping four cleans sheets. [LNB]He signed professional terms with the Iron in 2006 and has made 26 appearances for the Championship club. He signed a new four-year contract in September 2009.
