Hume bow for North End

Preston boss Darren Ferguson is expected to hand a debut to Iain Hume when Norwich visit Deepdale after the Barnsley striker joined on loan with a view to a permanent deal. Ferguson, who starts a three-match touchline ban, is hoping Hume`s arrival will give his side a much-needed lift after Tuesday`s 2-1 home defeat to Nottingham Forest condemned North End to a fifth defeat in six games. On-loan Manchester United duo Matt James and Josh King missed out against Forest due to ankle injuries sustained in last Saturday's defeat at Burnley. Neither player was fit to face Forest on Tuesday but James may return against Norwich and defender Billy Jones is available again after suspension. Midfielders Keith Treacy and Paul Coutts sustained groin strains in midweek and will be assessed.
