Holloway revealed he had "thoroughly enjoyed" the all-Lancashire clash at Deepdale, despite it finishing goalless.[LNB]Both sides had chances to claim all three points from the Championship clash but it was the visitors, battling to keep their play-off push on track, who went closest with a DJ Campbell header coming back off the woodwork and Brett Ormerod failing to connect from three yards.[LNB]The Seasiders had lost their previous three league games, and Holloway said: "I stood there and thoroughly enjoyed our performance.[LNB]"I tried to say the right things before the game. I think it helped the boys.[LNB]"But the script was here for them to beat us and go above us and to be honest I didn't think they looked like doing it.[LNB]"We were missing Charlie Adam and I had to change the shape and structure of it.[LNB]"I was confident enough to do that and I thought my back four defended how they should do.[LNB]"My midfield was a little bit different with DJ (Campbell) there, they didn't get to grips with him."[LNB]Blackpool brought over 5,000 supporters to Deepdale for the 86th league meeting between the two clubs.[LNB]Holloway, who was making his first trip to Preston as Seasiders boss, savoured the experience.[LNB]He added: "I thoroughly enjoyed the whole day, I came here, the team got a police escort, I brought my wife and daughters and I didn't feel threatened. I walked around the ground with them.[LNB]"Northern people like their football and these two clubs epitomise that. Today I'm very proud of what we're trying to do and our supporters."[LNB]Preston boss Darren Ferguson was nowhere near as happy during his post-match press conference.[LNB]He insisted that Manchester United loanee Danny Welbeck should have hit the target at least once, notably when he had a clear sight of goal.[LNB]"It was one of those games where you have to take your chances and in the end Danny Welbeck should score," he said.[LNB]"It's a massive chance, he went clean through and should have scored. He had one in the first half as well."[LNB]Saturday's result means Preston have failed to win any of their last three derbies at Deepdale.[LNB]Ferguson added: "Derbies are always tense affairs and it can take a little bit of magic to win them or a mistake from opposition.[LNB]"The dressing room is very quiet because they're all disappointed, we wanted to win the game.[LNB]"To a man we worked our socks off and there are some very tired legs out there."[LNB][LNB]
