North End confirmed yesterday that Luke Foster has joined the club on a non-contract basis after training with the club for the past couple of months.

The defender was relaesed from Rotherham in the Summer after failing to play towards the end of his contract due to injury. He has been without a club and has trained at Preston over the past couple of months having played for Westley at Stevenage.

Foster has agreed non-contract terms meaning that he is more than likely going to fill in over the busy festive period in order to see if he can get himself a deal.

He played in last night's JPT game at Bury and could be needed again with Candell-Sherriff being ruled out for two games after picking up a red card in last night's match.
