Fleetwood 0 Preston 4

Preston swept away Conference side Fleetwood in their latest pre-season friendly as the Whites move closer to the start of their League One campaign. There were one or two surprises in the North End squad including Clarke Carlisle who was given permission by Burnley to play despite not completing his move. Joe Mills and Alex Cooper were two trialists who played a half each at left back as well as Maclean who played the second half at the back. The goals came from Nicholson, a double from Proctor before a free kick late on for Carter who was another surprise after stating he didn't think he was going going to be selected until the weekend trip to Scotland.
