Figures Speak Volumes

New chairman Maurice Lindsay has already cut £1 million off the Preston wage bill but he is far from finished. When Lindsay arrived a couple of months ago, the North End wage bill was just under a staggering £10 million. This has now been cut by over a million to around £8.8 million. Lindsay has vowed to cut this further and for the club to sustain itself the wage bill should be around £6.5 million. There was some good news as Preston managed to reduce the amount of agent's fees they paid out during last season compared to the previous season. Preston bucked the general trend by only paying out £385,000 in fees compared to £462,501 in the 2008/9 season.
