Ferguson wants players to take responsibility

Preston boss Darren Ferguson admits his side's inability to protect a lead is giving him serious cause for concern. North End led 3-1 at Burnley last weekend but conceded three late goals to lose 4-3 and they faltered again in midweek against Nottingham Forest. Jon Parkin's goal put Ferguson's men ahead but two second-half strikes from Lewis McGugan condemned Preston to a fifth defeat in six games ahead of Saturday's home clash with Norwich. Ferguson said: "It has happened far too many times and it has to be addressed. We need people who will take responsibility and it is something I have to look into and make a decision for Saturday. "To lose five of our first six games is very poor and we have to address that. You don't want to be second bottom, whether it is the first game or the sixth game, it is not good enough. "I as the manager take full responsibility and I've got big enough shoulders to do that."
