Ferguson to monitor Mawene fitness

Mawene picked up a knock during Saturday's 2-0 home win over Ipswich and was replaced in the second half by Neill Collins.[LNB]Collins scored his first goal for the Lilywhites within five minutes of his introduction and could now earn a starting role against the Tykes.[LNB]Ferguson said after Saturday's game that he was hoping to add new signings to his squad before the transfer window closes, but he could again be without Callum Davidson as the skipper recovers from a head injury.[LNB]Former Cardiff winger Paul Parry remains sidelined with a knee problem while midfielder Barry Nicholson (broken leg) is a long-term absentee.[LNB][LNB]
