Ferguson sets sights on play-offs

Ferguson takes charge of his first game for Preston this weekend at Bristol City and believes he has seen enough since replacing Alan Irvine to make a top-six finish achievable.[LNB]He told his club's official website: "At the moment we're only eight points off the play-offs with a game in hand over Swansea, I would say we're probably one of 14 or 15 clubs who feel they can get in the play-offs, including the current top six.[LNB]"It is up to someone to go on a run and get themselves in there, and hopefully that will be us. I want us to play winning football first and foremost to achieve that, but also we want to play good football to entertain people.[LNB]"My aim is have us playing at a high tempo, play a good passing game, but also have the ability to mix it up when we have to.[LNB]"Bristol City are going through a bad run themselves but playing them at their place is a notoriously tough fixture. We'll have to play to a high standard and be right at it to get a result."[LNB][LNB]
