Ferguson salutes positive players

After a thumping 4-2 defeat at Bristol City in his first game in charge, Ferguson has seen his side push Chelsea hard in last weekend's FA Cup fourth-round defeat before winning 1-0 at Peterborough.[LNB]North End now face Ipswich and Barnsley at Deepdale, and Ferguson has urged his men to reassert their play-off credentials by collecting maximum points.[LNB]Ferguson said: "The players have been spot on since I came in, really positive and bright in training.[LNB]"We've got two home games now and if we were to win them you're only looking up but we've got to continue to work hard.[LNB]"If we can manage to get six points out of the next two league games then we'll be close to the play-offs which I'll be happy about."[LNB][LNB]
