Ferguson rues North End defeat

Preston boss Darren Ferguson was left frustrated not to have taken anything from his side's 1-0 defeat at Sheffield United. Jean Calve's stunning strike 15 minutes from time earned the points for the Blades, leaving Preston with just three points from their opening four games and with a solitary win, the pressure is building on Ferguson. "We are very disappointed. I don't think we deserved to lose," he said. "Actually, I feel for my players because they did enough to come away with something. "But the winner was one hell of a strike. Take nothing away from that. It was a goal fit to win any game and, to be fair, I think it was always going to take something like that to settle it."
