Ferguson Given Ultimatum

27 November 2010 17:24
Sources close to board level revealed that Darren Ferguson was given a last chance saloon deal prior to today's game. Lindsay allegedly told Ferguson that if Preston were to lose to Millwall then the manager's position would be untenable and he would be relieved of his duties. The only other option would be to get rid of the players which wasn't really viable. It was thought that Ferguson then told his team that it was either him or them who would go if they fell to defeat against Millwall. With the Whites picking up a home draw to the Lions it is uncertain whether Ferguson will live to fight another day.
