Preston manager Darren Ferguson has urged his struggling side to maintain belief as they bid to climb out of relegation danger.

North End are rock bottom of the npower Championship after 18 games and Ferguson`s own position has come under increased scrutiny.

Yet the Scot is staying upbeat ahead of this weekend`s home clash with Millwall.

Ferguson said: "You're not going to be going into it with a massive amount of confidence because where we are in the league.

"But you have got to go in with the belief that you are going to get something out of the game.

"A win, a bit of luck, we have got to keep believing, that is the biggest thing."
