Ferguson backing players to turn things around

Preston boss Darren Ferguson has urged his players to maintain their belief as they bid to turn around their woeful start to the season. North End slipped to their sixth defeat in seven games on Saturday as Norwich won 1-0 at Deepdale. The result left Ferguson's men second bottom of the npower Championship and the Scot said: "We have got to get ourselves out of it. "As I said to the players, we have got ourselves into this mess and no-one is going to help us get out of it. "But even though we have been getting beat I think the lads have kept the belief because the performances have been there."
