Fergie not flattered

Preston manager Darren Ferguson felt the scoreline was harsh on his side after the 3-0 defeat by Derby.

Dean Moxey and Alberto Bueno put the Rams 2-0 up before Robbie Savage killed off Preston with a penalty after Russell Anderson was brought down by Keith Treacy, who was sent off.

Ferguson said: "It was a period of 20 minutes that cost us, a game lasts for 90 minutes and you've got to have full concentration for the whole game.

"I felt we were fairly comfortable (until the first goal) and that changes the game and gives them impetus and the second goal was poor on our part.

"In the second half we were the ones who looked likely to get a goal but we didn't get a break in the box. But you have to perform for 90 minutes.

"It's disappointing to end up losing by three because it doesn't look right - 3-0 looks like a hammering and I don't think it was a hammering."
