Fergie Banned And Fined

The FA have laid down their judgment to Darren Ferguson over events at the weekend. Fergie Jnr who pleaded guilty to improper conduct and abusive language/behaviour towards the referee today received his sentence. He was already carrying a suspended sentence of two games but the FA have given him a three game touchline ban which starts with immediate effect. The boss will miss Saturday's home game against Norwich, the Cup tie at Wigan as well as the match away at Coventry. If still employed as Preston boss he will return for the Leeds away game. He also picked up a fine of £4,000.
