North End came back from two goals down to retain their unbeaten run throughout the pre-season so far. Phil Brown rested some senior players with the Whites playing two games in three days. David Lucas returned to Preston between the sticks after being given permission by his club, Swindon, to feature in this game. Preston went one down within the first minute which was doubled half way through the second half. Proctor continued his good form by scoring a penalty in the 82nd minute before full back McLaughlin managed to net with two minutes remaining. The squad now stay in Scotland to play at KIlmarnock on Monday before heading south to play Kendal Town on Wednesday.
