Everton Target Lonergan

Despite the transfer window closing, national sources have reported that David Moyes is interested in taking keeper, Andy Lonergan to Goodison Park. If believed then Lonergan will be joining Everton on loan until the end of the season as the loan market has now opened. In return Everton will loan their reserve keeper Ian Turner to Preston. As part of the deal both players will sign permanent contracts next season with Everton paying a £750,000 fee for Lonergan. If this deal does happen then Preston will have six loan players but are only allowed to field five in a matchday squad at anyone time. Also, Brown has stated that a full back is his main priority for his next loan signing. Chairman Lindsay has also stated during the January window that Lonergan would not be leaving.
