Elliott Departs
Preston have confirmed that striker Stephen Elliott left the club on Friday evening. Elliott was in talks with Hearts on Friday and sat in the stand to watch a pre-season friendly against Blackburn yesterday. A deal is hoped to be concluded shortly. It appears that Hearts were concerned over Elliott's wages as well as a transfer fee so Preston seem to have struck a deal allowing the striker to be released from the remainder of his contract.
