Eddie Lewis 1935-2011
An official club statement has confirmed that 1950's Preston player, Eddie Lewis has passed away in South Africa. Lewis was signed from Manchester United's Busby Babes in 1955 and scored on his North End debut in what was a great era for the football club. He even managed to score against his former club before moving on from Preston. He moved to South Africa before retiring and our condolensces go out to his family and friends.
