Preston boss Darren Ferguson is set to welcome back Sean St Ledger and Jon Parkin to his squad for the trip to npower Championship rivals Swansea.
Defender St Ledger has recovered from a hamstring strain and striker Parkin is back to fitness after missing much of the pre-season with a similar injury problem.
Midfielder Barry Nicholson remains a long-term absentee but Ferguson has no other major problems for the trip to south Wales.
Meanwhile, North End have confirmed they will not be following up their interest in Belgian-Congolese striker Patrick Dimbala.
Dimbala has been on trial with the Lilywhites over the last month but Ferguson said: "We had a look at Patrick Dimbala and we won't be taking that any further."
