Deepdale to host U21 clash
Preston`s Deepdale stadium will stage England Under-21s' friendly against Iceland on Monday March 28.
The match will be the second game of a double-header for Stuart Pearce's men, who also take on Denmark.
Delighted Preston chairman Maurice Lindsay said: "Preston North End are absolutely delighted and honoured to have been awarded the opportunity to host this England U21 fixture.
"As a founder member of the Football League since 1888 we have always been a historically resonant football club and this is a major thrill for us.
"I am sure the public of Preston and the whole of Lancashire and the north west will respond and we look forward to it with great pride."
