Preston agreed a fee on Monday with Leeds over the sale of Andy Lonergan but the deal is taking longer than expected to complete. A fee was agreed on Monday with Lonergan in Leeds on Tuesday for the usual medical and agreement of personal terms. It appears there have been some stumbling blocks over his personal terms which is no surprise considering the hefty wage Preston decided to pay him. Phil Brown is hopeful that the deal can be resolved by the end of the week allowing him to bring Iain Turner into the club. If the deal falls through it is thought Everton and Coventry are also interested int he stopper.
