Deadline Day Signing
Phil Brown made one last signing before the closure of the loan market for the rest of the season in order to bolster his defence. Brown has been limited at the back with reports suggesting St Ledger could be out for a couple of weeks due tobeing injured with Ireland as well as Cort missing the last few weeks with a hamstring injury. Preston have signed South African international Bongani Khumalo on loan from Spurs. The centre back is currently away on international duty but will be ready to play against Swansea. The centre back was signed by Tottenham in January but he has been unable to break into the first team yet and Redknapp has allowed him to go out on loan to Preston for the rest of the season.
